Basal metabolic rate

Basal metabolic rate

The health of the body also requires comprehensive care. Many people have irregular diets and unreasonable work and rest schedules in their lives, which can easily cause diseases in the human body. Moreover, such practices have serious effects on the body's immunity and metabolism, so these also need to be improved. So what is the basal metabolic rate? Many people are not clear about this.

If you are not very clear about the basal metabolic rate, you can consult in detail so that you can have a good understanding of this issue. At the same time, if some problems arise, you can make timely improvements.

Basal metabolic rate:

Basal metabolic rate refers to the minimum energy required to maintain life in a natural temperature environment when the human body is in an inactive state (including the digestive system, i.e. fasting for more than two hours). Your basal metabolic rate decreases with age or weight loss, but increases with muscle gain. The unit of basal metabolic rate is "kilojoule/square meter/hour", which represents the amount of heat dissipated per square meter of body surface per hour.

The energy metabolism rate of the human body when it is awake and extremely quiet, and is not affected by factors such as mental stress, muscle activity, food and ambient temperature. To measure the basal metabolic rate, you need to lie down and rest for half an hour in the early morning before breakfast (but stay awake), maintain the room temperature at around 20℃, and measure it using an indirect calorimetry instrument. The unit of basal metabolic rate is KJ/m2/h (kilojoules per square meter per hour), which is the number of kilojoules of heat dissipated per square meter of body surface per hour.

Calculation formula

(1)Basal metabolic rate%=(pulse rate+pulse pressure)-111(Gale)

(2) Basal metabolic rate% = 0.75 × (pulse rate + pulse pressure difference × 0.74) - 72 (Read)

(3)Basal metabolic rate% = 1.28 × (pulse rate + pulse pressure difference) - 116 (Kosa)

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of what the basal metabolic rate is, and the calculation formula is also explained in detail above, so when there is an abnormality in it, you can check it yourself. However, it should be noted that diet is very important if you want to have a healthy body.
