The effect of hanging salt water

The effect of hanging salt water

In our daily life, we mainly use saline solution when we go to the hospital for an IV drip. For example, if we have a cold or a fever, we will be given saline drip. The main function of saline drip is to inject sterile liquids and drugs into the body, which is easier to be absorbed by the stomach and intestines and can have a good effect in treating the disease. As for the benefits of hanging saline solution, we should choose the treatment method according to our own condition.

1. Definition of hanging water:

Intravenous infusion is a highly professional technique that uses the principles of atmospheric pressure and liquid static pressure to introduce large amounts of sterile liquids, electrolytes, and drugs into the body through veins.

Second, the benefits of hanging water:

1. The amount of medicine in the drip is relatively larger, and it enters the blood directly without being absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, so the effect may be more obvious;

2. For patients with more serious conditions, especially those who need surgery, it is necessary to increase the dosage of drugs through intravenous drip to reduce inflammation, or to carry out targeted treatment, or to supplement various beneficial elements, so as to facilitate the patient's recovery;

3. For patients who are unable to take care of themselves or seriously ill patients, the only treatment is intravenous drip.

3. Disadvantages of hanging water:

1. Particles are deposited in the capillaries of the heart, liver, lungs and other parts, causing impacts on the body;

2. Excessive infusion times and too fast can easily cause acute heart failure and increase the burden on the heart and kidneys;

3. Excessive infusion accompanied by abuse of antibiotics leads to decreased resistance and immunity of the human body;

4. If the disinfection is not strict and the operation is not standardized, it will cause allergic reactions, infusion reactions, etc.

To be precise, normal saline is a 0.9% sodium chloride aqueous solution. Because its osmotic pressure value is roughly the same as that of normal human plasma and tissue fluid, it can be used for fluid replacement (without reducing or increasing the sodium ion concentration in the normal human body) and other medical purposes. It is also often used for in vitro culture of living tissues and cells. It can prevent cell rupture, and its osmotic pressure is the same as that outside the cells, so it will not cause the cells to dehydrate or absorb excessive water. Therefore, it is used in many medical operations where liquids are needed. Sodium chloride: commonly known as salt, table salt.
