How to check and rule out ovarian cancer?

Ovarian cancer is a common tumor in women. If it is found early, it is very likely to be cured. It is necessary for women to understand the early symptoms of ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer screening methods:

1. Vaginal ultrasound: The size and shape of a woman's ovaries can be seen through vaginal examination. Usually, before menopause, the ovaries of women are about 3 cm, and after menopause, they are about 1.5 cm. If they are not within this normal range, it means that there is a disease in the ovaries.

2. Triple diagnosis: The examination mainly involves checking the vagina, abdomen and other parts of a woman's body to determine whether there are any lesions in the ovaries, and then deciding whether to conduct a pathological examination. The pathological examination mainly involves a puncture biopsy with the help of vaginal ultrasound, and then removing the ovarian lesion tissue for further examination to see if there are any lesions.

3. X-ray examination: X-ray examination can also help female friends see if they have ovarian cancer. This is an auxiliary examination method and is very helpful for diagnosis.

4. Pelvic examination: This includes checking the uterus, vagina, ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder and rectal fossa for abnormalities in shape, size, masses, benign or malignant. During a pelvic examination, doctors usually do a cervical smear, which can diagnose cervical cancer at an early stage, but it is not a reliable method for early diagnosis of ovarian cancer.

5. Laparoscopy or laparotomy: Pathological changes and extent of the pelvic cavity can be observed and biopsies can be performed. Pathological biopsy obtains pathological tissue through laparotomy and observes and analyzes it under a microscope. If cancer is suspected, the surgeon will remove the entire ovary during an oophorectomy.
