Cervical cancer staging standards and treatment

Cervical cancer staging standards and treatment

In stage IV cervical cancer, the tumor has exceeded the pelvic area, invaded surrounding tissues or had distant metastasis. This level of cervical cancer can be treated directly with chemotherapy or targeted drugs. Stage III refers to the lesion reaching the pelvic wall. During the triple diagnosis, there is adhesion between the pelvic cavity and the tumor, with no gap, and involving the lower vagina. Generally, surgical treatment is not performed, and chemoradiotherapy or targeted therapy is directly selected; the staging of cervical cancer is the same as that of other malignant tumors.

What does a negative cervical cancer screening result mean?

The current clear cause of cervical cancer is human papillomavirus infection, so cervical cancer can usually be screened by testing for human papillomavirus antibodies. This examination has now become a routine gynecological examination item, and it is usually done once every 2 to 3 years. If the cervical cancer screening is negative, it means that there is no infection with human papillomavirus, which means that this group of people does not have the risk factors for cervical cancer and is safe. If the final result is negative in the clinical cervical cancer screening, it means that there is no high-risk infection, that is, there are no symptoms of cancer for the time being, and the body is healthy and does not need treatment. A negative cervical cancer screening result indicates that the result is normal, and regular follow-up examinations will be sufficient in the future.

Can recurrence of cervical cancer be cured?

In life, insist on eating more high-quality high-protein foods, because good protein foods can inhibit the growth of cancer cells, help improve the body's immunity and resistance, and thus reduce the recurrence rate of cervical cancer. Generally speaking, if the symptoms and signs completely disappear for more than half a year after treatment, the tumor reappears, which is called recurrence. Most patients with early cervical cancer can gradually recover and be completely cured after surgical treatment.
