What diseases can lymphoma cause and how to care for them

What diseases does lymphoma cause?

Common complications include:

1 Gastrointestinal tract: loss of appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, abdominal mass, intestinal obstruction and bleeding, etc.

2. Liver and gallbladder: Invasion of liver parenchyma can cause pain in the liver area.

3 Bones: Clinical manifestations include local bone pain and secondary nerve compression symptoms.

4 Skin: Nonspecific damages commonly include pruritus and prurigo. Pruritus is more common in Hodgkin's disease, accounting for 85%.

5 Tonsils and mouth, nose and pharynx: When lymphoma invades the mouth, nose and pharynx, clinical symptoms include dysphagia, nasal congestion and epistaxis.

6Others: Lymphoma may also infiltrate the pancreas and cause malabsorption syndrome.

How to care?

1. Psychological care

Patients with malignant tumors may experience a series of psychological changes, including denial, anger, compromise, depression and acceptance stages to varying degrees. They should be closely observed and given different guidance and psychological support.

2. Nutritional care

Patients are encouraged to take in adequate nutrition and eat a high-protein, high-vitamin, high-calorie, easily digestible diet. For those with poor appetite and difficulty eating, small meals and a low-residue diet are recommended. If necessary, intravenous high-nutrient support should be given. During radiotherapy, spicy and dry foods should be avoided, such as pepper, onion, garlic, leek, lamb, chicken, etc.

If the majority of patients simply seek treatment casually or even ignore the disease after getting it, they will regret it. Therefore, the right way is to go to a regular hospital for professional diagnosis and treatment and seek good treatment methods in time.
