What are the early symptoms of lymphoma?

With the accelerated pace of life and work, the early symptoms of many diseases are often ignored by people. The early symptoms of lymphoma need people's attention, otherwise the symptoms will worsen and catch people off guard. So what are the common early symptoms of lymphoma?

Lymphoma is the malignant transformation of lymphocytes. According to the "World Health Organization's Pathological Classification of Lymphatic Tumors", there are nearly 70 known pathological types of lymphoma, which can be roughly divided into two categories: Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. In my country, Hodgkin's lymphoma accounts for 9% to 10% of lymphomas and is a group of malignant tumors with relatively good treatment effects; non-Hodgkin's lymphoma accounts for about 90% of all lymphoma cases, and the incidence rate has been increasing year by year in the past decade.

Common early symptoms of lymphoma include the following:

1. Painless enlargement of superficial lymph nodes. Hodgkin's disease usually involves the cervical or supraclavicular lymph nodes. In NHL, in addition to the involvement of the upper and lower diaphragmatic lymph nodes, careful clinical examination may reveal the involvement of other lymphoid tissue sites such as the trochlea, orbital lymph nodes, and Waldeyer's ring.

2. Itching is more common in Hodgkin's disease than in NHL, and is usually not treated with antihistamines.

3. There may be symptoms such as fever, night sweats or weight loss.

4. Hodgkin's disease patients occasionally experience pain after drinking, and the pain is limited to the affected area.

5. Splenomegaly. Patients with splenomegaly often have hepatomegaly. In advanced stages, patients may have obstruction of the superior vena cava due to enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes.

Now that we know the early symptoms of lymphoma, we should pay attention to the details of life, develop good habits, and always pay attention to our health in our daily lives.
