The incidence of brain metastasis from lung cancer is as high as 35% to 50%, and is often misdiagnosed as cerebrovascular disease, primary brain tumor, tuberculous meningitis or intracranial hypertension, such as headache, vomiting, facial nerve paralysis, hemiplegia, blurred vision, aphasia and muscle weakness. Bone metastasis is not a direct cause of life-threatening lung cancer patients, but if the tumor metastasizes to weight-bearing bones such as the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar vertebrae, it can lead to serious consequences such as paralysis. Patients with bone metastasis of lung cancer should be treated promptly.
