What are the causes of liver cancer rupture and bleeding?

1. According to the location of the ruptured hemorrhage of liver cancer, it can be divided into abdominal bleeding, biliary bleeding, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, thoracic bleeding and diaphragmatic bleeding, which account for the vast majority of abdominal bleeding. Abdominal bleeding can be divided into subcapsular hematoma, central liver rupture and true liver rupture.

2. It is generally believed that giant liver cancer is more likely to rupture. The liver cancer nodules expand and grow rapidly, leading to central ischemia, necrosis, softening and liquefaction, sudden increase in tumor pressure, spontaneous rupture, or severe coughing, vomiting, constipation, weight bearing and other minor external forces or increased abdominal pressure. Tumor growth directly erodes and destroys nutrient blood vessels, causing bleeding, or obstruction of drainage vein branches, and coagulation mechanism disorders caused by liver disease.

3. If the rupture of liver cancer is confined to the liver capsule, it may cause local pain. If the subcapsular bleeding increases rapidly, a tender tumor will form. If the abdominal cavity ruptures, it will cause acute abdominal pain and peritoneal irritation. Massive bleeding will lead to shock and death, while bleeding from a small rupture will manifest as bloody ascites.
