What is the difference between melanoma and mole?

The causes of melanoma and moles are different. Melanoma is caused by excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays. In addition, local stimulation such as cutting, strangulation, salting, laser and freezing can also cause melanoma. The occurrence of moles is mainly related to genetic factors and environmental factors such as ultraviolet rays.

There are also subtle differences in the clinical symptoms of melanoma and moles. Melanoma mainly occurs on the skin. Some may also occur in the mucous membranes, choroid and other parts of the eye. Patients with melanoma will have bumps on the skin surface. The affected area will itch, and sometimes there will be symptoms such as ulceration and bleeding, and nail cracking. If the cancer cells metastasize, the patient will also experience symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting and fatigue. Moles are generally brown, blue-black or black macules or maculopapules. Moles generally do not have any symptoms.

The treatments for melanoma and moles are also different. Melanoma is very harmful, so it needs to be treated in time. It is mainly removed through surgery. If the condition is more serious, auxiliary treatments such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be used. Moles are harmless and it doesn't matter if they are not treated. If the patient thinks it is ugly, surgery or laser treatment can be used to remove it.

Melanoma and order are two completely different concepts. If you find yourself suffering from melanoma, you must seek timely treatment to avoid malignant transformation, because melanoma is no less harmful to the human body than other cancers such as lung cancer. This is something that many friends do not understand, and it must be taken seriously.
