What are the symptoms of bladder cancer?

Hematuria is the most obvious symptom of bladder cancer. This kind of hematuria is not obvious in the early stage, that is to say, it is difficult to detect with the naked eye. It is characterized by no pain and is not continuous. Hematuria may occur once a day, but some patients may have hematuria several times a day. It depends on the characteristics of the patient's condition. The following is an introduction to the symptoms of bladder cancer:

1. Hematuria

Hematuria is mostly macroscopic hematuria, followed by microscopic hematuria. It can be intermittent, whole-course hematuria, or terminal hematuria. Because of the diversity of hematuria, it is easy to be misdiagnosed as uremia. Hematuria is a typical symptom of bladder cancer.

2. Urinary tract irritation

This symptom occurs when cancer cells invade the trigone of the bladder. The irritation symptoms also reveal the possibility of bladder carcinoma in situ, followed by the discharge of necrotic material, lumps, blood clots, or difficulty urinating due to obstruction of the urinary tract by the lumps, dripping, or even urine retention.

3. Systemic symptoms

Symptoms include leg swelling, abdominal ascites, incontinence, yellow urine, loose yellow stools, and a large amount of colorless, odorless, transparent liquid. It is not uncommon for this colorless, odorless, transparent liquid to be discharged alone.

The symptoms of advanced bladder cancer are relatively obvious. Patients will experience unexplained weight loss. In addition, if metastasis occurs, patients will have swollen lymph nodes, which may mean that bladder cancer has metastasized. It should be noted that the most common metastatic pathways of bladder cancer are direct invasion and lymph node metastasis.
