Why do I feel back pain after bladder cancer surgery?

Hematuria may occur only once or last from one to several days. There are many reasons why patients may experience back pain. Postoperative complications and metastasis cannot be ruled out. It is recommended to do a good check first. 10% of bladder cancer patients may first experience bladder irritation symptoms, such as frequent urination, urgency, pain, and difficulty urinating, but the patients do not have obvious macroscopic hematuria. It is recommended to check first.

Is early bladder cancer painful?

Patients with bladder cancer in the early stages generally do not experience back pain or buttock pain. The main clinical symptom of bladder cancer is painless, intermittent, visible hematuria. The sources of urinary pain mainly include two aspects. The first is that if patients with bladder cancer have concurrent infections, they will experience urinary urgency, frequent urination, and a burning sensation when urinating. Generally speaking, there are no symptoms in the early stages of bladder cancer. Once the symptoms begin, hematuria will occur, and pain may occur in the middle and late stages of bladder cancer.

What are the follow-up tests for bladder cancer?

Routine examinations include urine routine and color Doppler ultrasound. If urine routine examination shows hematuria and color Doppler ultrasound shows a mass, further cystoscopy is required. Under direct vision of cystoscopy, it is possible to observe more clearly whether there is a recurrence. Postoperative follow-up of bladder cancer requires testing of urine routine, blood routine, liver and kidney function, urinary system color Doppler ultrasound and cystoscopy. There are two most important examinations in the follow-up of bladder cancer patients: one is cystoscopy.
