Acute massive bleeding from bladder cancer

Acute massive bleeding from bladder cancer

If there is heavy bleeding in the late stage of bladder cancer, timely symptomatic, hemostatic and anti-inflammatory treatment should be carried out, and blood transfusion should be carried out if necessary. If the patient suffers from hemorrhagic shock due to heavy bleeding, anti-shock treatment should be carried out in time. Until the end of life, the standard treatment for non-invasive bladder urothelial carcinoma is: transurethral bladder tumor resection, postoperative intravesical instillation treatment to prevent recurrence; if patients with bladder cancer have heavy bleeding in the late stage of the disease.

What is the staging and grading of bladder cancer?

Bladder cancer is staged according to the depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis. The tumor cells are divided into three levels according to their atypical structural characteristics and the degree of invasion. The staging of bladder cancer adopts the international TNM staging method, where T refers to the primary tumor, N refers to the regional lymph nodes, and M refers to distant metastasis. Grading is the main method of pathology, which mainly divides tumor cells into three levels based on the differences in the nuclear morphology and division figures of tumor cells, among which level 1 is well differentiated, level 2 is moderately differentiated, and level 3 is poorly differentiated or undifferentiated.

Can bladder cancer be cured?

The survival rate of invasive bladder cancer within 5 years after cystectomy is extremely high, and this rate is still relatively high. Therefore, whether it is invasive bladder cancer or non-invasive bladder cancer, some patients can be cured in the early stage, but this does not rule out postoperative recurrence or metastasis. Bladder cancer can be cured if it can be diagnosed early. In the early stage, the tumor can be completely and thoroughly removed through local anesthesia surgery, and most patients will not have a recurrence for more than ten years. The treatment of bladder cancer varies according to the pathological classification, individual differences, etc.
