If cervical cancer occurs, B-ultrasound may indicate the presence of space-occupying lesions, uterine fibroids or adenomatous degeneration in the uterine cavity. However, B-ultrasound alone cannot determine whether it is cervical cancer. Patients who suspect they have cervical cancer are advised to go to the hospital for TCT and HPV testing, and further complete colposcopy and pathological biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. 1. Space-occupying lesions in the uterine cavity: Since most cervical cancers occur in the cervix, no abnormalities will be found during B-ultrasound. However, if cervical cancer invades the uterine cavity, it may appear as space-occupying lesions in the uterine cavity under B-ultrasound, such as anechoic, cystic, and solid lesions. 2. Uterine fibroids or adenomatous degeneration: If a woman has cervical cancer and is accompanied by submucosal fibroids or cervical adenomatous degeneration, the B-ultrasound may show uneven thickening of the uterine myometrium, which is related to local tissue necrosis of cervical cancer. Adenomatous degeneration is often caused by prolonged cervicitis. When the gland is stimulated, adenomatous changes will occur, causing the above symptoms. 3. Other situations: If cervical cancer occurs, it will cause local tumors to protrude from the surface, which is easier to observe after intercourse. In addition, cauliflower-like growths may appear. Larger ones may even block the entire cervical canal, resulting in obstruction of secretion discharge. At this time, a comprehensive judgment should be made based on clinical manifestations and auxiliary examination results. If necessary, lesion resection can be performed. For cervical cancer, the early stage is mild and the prognosis is good, but in the middle and late stages, it is easy to metastasize and generally difficult to cure. Therefore, it is recommended that women of childbearing age have regular physical examinations so that they can get early diagnosis and treatment once the disease is found. They should also pay attention to personal hygiene and avoid unclean sexual life to avoid increasing the risk of infection with human papillomavirus. |
