How to take good care of a man's prostate? Men should do these things to protect their prostate

The prostate is a very important organ for men, but how to protect its health is something that many men tend to overlook.

The prostate is also a very important part for men. During the physical examination, it can also be found whether the male prostate is healthy. If you do not undergo physical examinations for a long time, you may suddenly feel that your body is damaged when you reach middle age, and all kinds of diseases will come to you. Of course, male examinations are not exclusive to infertility or sexual dysfunction. Just like women have regular gynecological examinations, men also need to have male examinations at least once a year. This is just to pay attention to their own health.

Routine tests to diagnose the prostate in men

1. Rectal examination:

The prostate gland is full, enlarged, soft and slightly tender. If the disease lasts for a long time, the prostate gland will become smaller, harder, uneven in texture and have small nodules. At the same time, the prostate gland massage method is used to obtain prostate fluid and do a routine examination.

2. Prostatic fluid examination:

If the number of white blood cells in the prostatic fluid exceeds 10 in the high-power field of view of the microscope and the lecithin bodies decrease, it can be diagnosed as prostatitis. If bacterial culture is performed at the same time, a clear diagnosis and classification of chronic prostatitis can be made. If the bacterial culture result of the prostatitis fluid is positive, chronic bacterial prostatitis is diagnosed; otherwise, it is chronic non-bacterial prostatitis.

3. Equipment inspection:

Cystoscopy or urethroscopy may show no abnormalities, or may reveal congestion and edema of the prostatic urethra, with or without inflammatory polyps. These manifestations are not unique to chronic bacterial prostatitis and may also exist in other prostatitis.

Who is most likely to have prostate disease?

1. Obese men

Compared with people of normal weight, obese people are more likely to have health problems. Compared with people of normal weight, obese men are twice as likely to develop prostate cancer. Studies have shown that if obese men work hard to lose weight, it will help reduce the risk of prostate cancer. Therefore, to prevent prostate cancer, you can try to change your diet, actively exercise, and reduce your weight to a normal level.

2. Lustful men

Excessive secretion of male hormones is also a risk factor for prostate cancer. Reading pornographic novels and watching pornographic movies can cause visual and psychological stimulation in men, leading to excessive secretion of male hormones, disrupting the balance of hormones in the body and inducing the occurrence of prostate cancer. Therefore, lustful men have a higher risk of prostate cancer.

3. Men who indulge in lust

A survey found that men who have promiscuous sex lives when they are young and have many sexual partners around the age of 20 have a high chance of being infected with human papillomavirus (HpV). This infection may cause gene mutations in the future and lead to cancer. A study in the United States showed that men who have sex too early or too frequently may increase the incidence of prostate cancer. If you often use aphrodisiacs and sperm enhancers in order to achieve sexual effects, it will also disrupt the balance of hormones in the body and lead to prostate cancer.

4. Men working night shifts

Relevant studies have shown that the occurrence of prostate cancer is closely related to working night shifts. Researchers said that human melatonin has the effect of inhibiting the proliferation of prostate cancer cells. If you often work night shifts, it is easy to cause the body's biological clock to be disrupted, resulting in a decrease in melatonin secretion. This may explain why night shift workers are more likely to develop prostate cancer than ordinary people.

How to prevent prostate disease

1. The most important thing for external prevention is to keep the crotch dry, breathable and hygienic. Generally, the front of men's underwear is designed with double layers, which wraps the scrotum and penis together. Over time, the crotch becomes hot and humid, which becomes a breeding ground for viruses and bacteria, and is a potential lesion for prostate diseases, which is often easily ignored. Experts recommend wearing scrotal bag underwear more often, such as mesh scrotal bags, which can give the scrotum independent care and can isolate the penis and scrotum, keeping the crotch dry, breathable and hygienic for a long time.

2. Absolutely avoid drinking alcohol, otherwise it may cause congestion and edema of the prostate and bladder neck and induce urinary retention.

3. Eat less spicy and irritating foods. Eating too much spicy food can cause congestion of the sexual organs, aggravate the symptoms of hemorrhoids and constipation, compress the prostate, and aggravate urination difficulties.

4. Do not hold urine. Holding urine will cause the bladder to be overfilled. Otherwise, the tension of the bladder detrusor muscle will be weakened, urination will become difficult, and it may easily induce acute urinary retention. Therefore, you must urinate as soon as you have to.

5. Avoid overwork. Excessive fatigue will deplete your vital energy. Otherwise, insufficient vital energy will cause weak urination and easily lead to urinary retention.

6. Avoid sitting for long periods of time. Sitting for long periods of time can aggravate diseases such as hemorrhoids, and can easily cause congestion in the perineum, leading to urination difficulties. Regular participation in cultural and sports activities and qigong exercises can help alleviate symptoms.

7. Drinking water in moderation Drinking too little water will not only cause dehydration, but also hinder the flushing effect of urination on the urinary tract, and easily lead to urine concentration and the formation of insoluble stones. Therefore, in addition to reducing water intake at night to avoid excessive bladder filling after sleep, you should drink more water during the day.

8. Use drugs with caution. Some drugs can aggravate dysuria and cause acute urinary retention when used in large doses. These drugs mainly include atropine, belladonna tablets, ephedrine tablets, isoproterenol, etc. In recent years, calcium blockers and isoprenaline have been found to promote prolactin secretion and weaken the contraction force of the detrusor muscle, aggravating dysuria. Therefore, it is advisable to use certain drugs with caution or at least not at all.

9. Timely treatment: Prostatitis, cystitis, urethral stones, etc. should be treated promptly and thoroughly.

10. Prevent cold weather From late autumn to early spring, the weather is unpredictable and cold weather often makes the condition worse. Therefore, patients must pay attention to preventing colds, colds and upper respiratory tract infections.

11. Massage the lower abdomen Massage the lower abdomen and press the Qi, Hai, Yuan and other acupoints below the navel to help restore bladder function. Apply a little pressure massage after urination to promote bladder emptying and reduce residual fluid.
