Is hematuria a manifestation of bladder cancer? What are the early symptoms of bladder cancer?

Bladder cancer is one of the most common tumors in the urinary system and the most common tumor in the urinary system. It usually occurs at an older age. The early symptoms are generally not obvious, but may be accompanied by hematuria.

Causes of disease: exposure to chemicals + smoking

Bladder cancer can occur at any age, but the incidence rate gradually increases after the age of 40. The incidence rate in cities is higher than in rural areas, and in men is 2 to 4 times that in women. The main causes of bladder tumors are exposure to chemicals and smoking. Studies have found that long-term exposure to diesel exhaust can induce bladder cancer, and exposure to aromatic amine chemical raw materials is closely related to bladder cancer. Workers in pesticide factories, pharmaceutical factories, and dyeing factories are at high risk of bladder cancer. People who smoke a lot have a higher concentration of carcinogens in their urine, which can increase the risk of bladder cancer by 2 to 4 times. Smokers' urine irritates the bladder, and the longer you hold your urine, the more dangerous it is.

For high-risk groups, it is recommended to have a urinary system B-ultrasound and urine routine examination once a year, which can show whether there are bladder masses and hematuria that cannot be seen with the naked eye. If a tumor is found by B-ultrasound, a cystoscopy should be performed to confirm the diagnosis. During this period, part of the tumor tissue can be clamped for pathological examination to determine its malignancy. CT examination can understand the depth of the tumor's invasion of the bladder wall, etc., which can guide the next step of treatment.

Early symptoms of bladder cancer:

In fact, in the entire urinary tract epithelial tumor, a very important symptom is hematuria, professionally known as painless hematuria, which includes macroscopic hematuria, where the human eye can see blood in the urine, or microscopic hematuria, which looks normal to the naked eye, but contains red blood cells in the urine under a microscope.

Painless hematuria should be treated with high caution, especially in older people, who must undergo examination if painless macroscopic hematuria occurs.

On the other hand, it is either hematuria or a tumor. If it is combined with symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency, the chance of urinary tract infection may be higher. The pain may not be caused by bladder cancer. Painlessness is very important.

In addition, do not think that one hematuria is okay. Generally, hematuria is not continuous. It can be described as intermittent painless hematuria, which may be just one time. Some patients may have had hematuria a few months ago and did not pay much attention to it. When they had hematuria again a few months later, they found that they had bladder cancer. Therefore, if you have painless hematuria once, you should pay attention to it.

Hematuria is common in other disorders:

1. Urinary tract infection: The patient complains of frequent urination, urgency and pain when urinating.

2. Urinary tract stones: abdominal pain.

3. Urinary tract tuberculosis: There may be a history of tuberculosis and obvious bladder irritation.

4. Primary renal diseases: such as IgA nephritis.

5. Hypertension: Uncontrolled hypertension can cause microscopic hematuria.

6. Diabetes: Blood sugar is not controlled or diabetes has caused kidney damage for more than ten years. In addition, there are urinary tract stenosis, drugs, trauma, rheumatism, systemic hemorrhagic lesions, etc.
