What are the treatments for lung cancer? Lung cancer can be treated with these methods

Everyone knows that smoking is very bad for the body, and smoking is one of the causes of lung cancer. Speaking of lung cancer, many people are really scared. There may be such patients around us, and even some lung cancer patients have left us. But for a disease with such a high mortality rate, how can we better deal with it? First of all, we should maintain a healthy mentality, which is very beneficial for controlling the disease. The second is to receive treatment. Experts will introduce some treatment methods below.

Chemotherapy

In recent years, the role of "chemotherapy" in lung cancer is no longer limited to patients with advanced lung cancer who cannot undergo surgery, but is often included in the comprehensive treatment plan for lung cancer as a systemic treatment. Chemotherapy inhibits the bone marrow hematopoietic system, mainly the decline of white blood cells and platelets, thereby inhibiting the unlimited proliferation and metastasis of cancer cells and other terrible lesions.

(I) Chemotherapy for small cell lung cancer Due to the biological characteristics of small cell lung cancer, it is generally recognized that chemotherapy should be the first choice except for a few patients with sufficient evidence showing no intrathoracic lymph node metastasis.

(II) Chemotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer Although there are many effective drugs for non-small cell lung cancer, the efficacy is low and complete remission is rarely achieved.

Radiation therapy

1. Treatment principles

Radiotherapy is the best for small cell carcinoma, followed by squamous cell carcinoma, and the worst for adenocarcinoma. However, small cell carcinoma is prone to metastasis, so large-area irregular field irradiation is often used. The irradiation area should include the primary lesion, the supraclavicular area on both sides of the mediastinum, and even the liver and brain, and should be supplemented with drug treatment. Squamous cell carcinoma is moderately sensitive to radiation, and the lesions are mainly local invasion, and metastasis is relatively slow, so radical treatment is often used. Adenocarcinoma is less sensitive to radiation and is prone to blood metastasis, so simple radiotherapy is rarely used.

(ii) Radiation-induced complications are numerous and may even cause partial functional loss; for patients with advanced tumors, the effect of radiation therapy is not perfect.

(III) Indications for radiotherapy are divided into radical treatment, palliative treatment, preoperative radiotherapy, postoperative radiotherapy and intracavitary radiotherapy according to the purpose of treatment.

Low-toxic chemotherapy + traditional Chinese medicine treatment

The best treatment for inoperable lung cancer is chemotherapy. It is reported that chemotherapy is still the main means of treating lung cancer when there are no surgical indications.

Experts have introduced the above three treatment methods in great detail. For lung cancer patients, they must understand them and then choose the best treatment method under the doctor's advice. In fact, in addition to these treatment methods, we still have a lot to do, that is, exercise more and strengthen our physical fitness, which is also helpful in resisting the disease.
