Regarding the cervical cancer prevention vaccine that everyone is concerned about, Director Shi Kun pointed out that there are two brands of cervical cancer vaccines approved in the world, namely the Merck & Co. Pharmaceutical Company's Jiawei vaccine and the GlaxoSmithKline Company's Huiyankang vaccine. One of them is a 4-valent vaccine. HpV-6, HpV-11, HpV-16 and HpV-18 are among the four viruses. HpV-16 and HpV-18 are high-risk HpVs that can cause cervical cancer. The other is a 2-valent vaccine that only targets HpV-16 and HpV-18. Director Shi Kun pointed out that about 70% of cervical cancer is caused by infection with HpV-16 or HpV-18. The two main vaccines currently on the market can be used for these two vaccines. The HPV subtype-induced cervical cancer can play a good preventive role. However, due to the short time that the cervical cancer vaccine has been on the market and is still in the experimental exploration stage, its long-term preventive effect is still unclear. At the same time, for women who want to get vaccinated against cervical cancer, Director Shi Kun suggested that it is best to get vaccinated before starting sexual life, so that the preventive effect will be better.
