What tests should be done for cervical precancer? Cervical precancer screening and prevention methods

What tests can be used to screen for cervical precancer? If women are at high risk of cervical precancer or have symptoms of suspected cervical precancer, they need to be screened in time. Only in this way can they be diagnosed earlier and reduce the possibility of delaying the disease. Let's take a look at the examination methods for cervical precancer.

Methods of detecting cervical precancerous lesions

Ultrasound examination: Ultrasound examination is non-destructive and can be used repeatedly. The diagnosis of cervical precancerous lesions is usually more accurate, so it can be used to compare the efficacy of non-surgical treatments (such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy, etc.). This is one of the diagnostic methods for cervical precancerous lesions.

Colposcopy: Colposcopy cannot directly diagnose cancer, but it can help select the biopsy site for cervical biopsy. According to statistics, if a biopsy can be performed with the help of colposcopy, the diagnostic accuracy of early cervical precancerous lesions can reach about 10%. However, colposcopy cannot replace scraping cytology and biopsy because it cannot detect lesions at the squamous-columnar junction or extending into the endocervical canal.

Iodine test: Normal cervical and vaginal squamous epithelium is rich in glycogen and can be stained brown by iodine solution, while cervical erosion and abnormal squamous epithelial areas (including atypical hyperplasia, carcinoma in situ and invasive carcinoma) do not have glycogen and will not be stained.

X-ray diagnosis: Mammography is a common method for diagnosing cervical precancerous lesions, which is divided into dry plate photography and low-dose line photography. Young women's breast tissue is easily damaged by radiation, and breast tissue is dense, which is generally difficult to diagnose and identify. Therefore, mammography is often not recommended for women under 35 years old.

Biopsy of the cervix and endocervical canal: Clinically, cervical examination is an important part of diagnosis, but biopsy is the most reliable basis for diagnosing cervical precancerous lesions.

What should women pay attention to in order to prevent cervical precancerous lesions?

Tips for preventing cervical precancerous lesions

From the perspective of the effect of the vaccine, the most suitable people for vaccination are young women who have not had sexual intercourse; in addition, it is more necessary to vaccinate those with a history of abortion, early sexual intercourse and other high-risk cervical precancer. At present, the vaccine for cervical precancer has not yet been officially put into clinical use in my country, and women need to raise their awareness of prevention and prevent cervical precancer.

It refers to taking a small amount of cell samples from the cervix, placing them on a glass slide, and then the doctor studies whether there are cervical cell lesions under a microscope.

Wear breathable and loose cotton underwear: To prevent cervical precancerous lesions, female friends should pay attention to their daily wear.
