What should I do if I have pain from stomach cancer? These methods can help you reduce the pain

Gastric cancer is a highly malignant tumor that occurs in the stomach tissue and is a very common disease among digestive system tumors. Cancer cells can grow and multiply endlessly without the body's own control, thus affecting the normal functioning of the stomach, reducing digestive function, invading other organs around the stomach, and causing bleeding, pain and many other problems. If surgery is possible, then surgery should be performed. If surgery is not possible, chemotherapy and painkillers can be used to treat and relieve pain.

The pain caused by gastric cancer is different for each patient. When is the most painful? Some patients with advanced gastric cancer do not feel obvious pain. But if pain occurs, the patient will be in great pain, and the family will be very anxious and don't know what to do. So, what should we do if pain occurs in gastric cancer?
1. Pain relief methods for gastric cancer
If gastric cancer has caused pain, it is mostly no longer in the early stage. If the condition is suitable for surgery, radical gastrectomy, followed by adjuvant chemotherapy, can greatly improve the pain of gastric cancer patients. If surgery cannot be performed or pain still exists, analgesia can be treated according to the three-step therapy proposed by the World Health Organization.
In the first stage, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, such as aspirin, are used alone for mild cancer pain.
In the second stage, weak opioid analgesics, such as codeine, are used for moderate cancer pain, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics are used in combination.
In the third stage, strong opioid analgesics, such as morphine, are used for severe pain, and other types of analgesics can also be used in combination. In addition to drug analgesia, nerve blockade or cutting can also be used for analgesia. For example, using a morphine pump for spinal analgesia can achieve effective analgesia with few adverse reactions.
2. Diet adjustment
Patients with advanced gastric cancer often experience anemia, weight loss, malnutrition, and even cachexia. Patients should eat some easily digestible and nutritious foods, such as noodles, millet and red date porridge, and bread. These foods can provide patients with certain nutrients and improve their immunity.
In summary, as long as gastric cancer patients receive standardized treatment, they can generally slow down the growth of the tumor, improve the quality of life of the patient, and prolong the patient's survival time. Usually, pay attention to relaxing your mentality and take medication according to the doctor's instructions.
