What is endometrial cancer? Pay attention to these four points

Endometrial cancer is a common disease in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. The incidence rate is second only to breast cancer, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. When the disease occurs, there will be bleeding, vaginal discharge, pain, abdominal mass, etc. Therefore, after discovering these abnormalities, it is necessary to pay attention to timely and comprehensive examinations before reasonable treatment can be carried out.

Many women have had their health and lives greatly affected by gynecological diseases. Some minor illnesses can be cured with proper treatment, but if it is cancer, it will seriously endanger health, such as endometrial cancer. Let's learn more about what endometrial cancer is.
Endometrial cancer mostly occurs in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. It is the most common cancer of the female reproductive system. Its incidence is closely related to lifestyle and different regions, second only to breast cancer, lung cancer and colon cancer, and there are many different symptoms after the onset of the disease.
1. Bleeding Irregular vaginal bleeding is the main symptom of endometrial cancer, usually a small amount or moderate bleeding. In young women or women in menopause, it is often mistaken for irregular menstruation and ignored. In postmenopausal women, it often manifests as continuous or intermittent vaginal bleeding. Some patients only show a small amount of vaginal bloody discharge after menopause.
2. Vaginal drainage
Some patients have varying degrees of vaginal discharge. In the early stages, it may appear as thin white discharge or a small amount of bloody leucorrhea. Sometimes vaginal discharge may be accompanied by tissue samples.
3. Pain
Cancerous lesions and the bleeding or infection they cause can stimulate uterine contractions and cause paroxysmal lower abdominal pain. Postmenopausal women may experience severe abdominal pain accompanied by fever due to poor uterine drainage caused by cervical stenosis and secondary infection leading to uterine abscesses. In the late stage of the tumor, cancerous tissue penetrates the entire layer of the infiltrated uterus, or invades the quasi-periodic connective tissue, cervical lateral ligaments, bladder, intestinal canal, or infiltrates and compresses the pelvic wall tissue or nerves, which may cause persistent and gradually worsening pain, which may be accompanied by lumbar pain or radiation to the contralateral lower limbs.
4. Abdominal mass
Early-stage endometrial cancer usually does not cause abdominal mass. If endometrial cancer is accompanied by a large uterine fibroid or a late-stage intrauterine abscess, and metastases to the abdominal cavity to form a huge mass (such as ovarian metastasis), the intra-abdominal mass can be felt, which is generally solid, has poor mobility, and sometimes is tender.
