What is ovarian endometrioid tumor? These three points need attention

Ovarian endometrioid tumor is a histological type of ovarian epithelial tumor. Benign tumors are rare, mostly unilocular, with a smooth surface, and the cyst wall is lined with a single layer of columnar epithelium, similar to normal endometrium, and the stroma may contain hemosiderin-containing phagocytes. Borderline tumors are also rare. Endometrioid carcinoma accounts for 10% to 15% of ovarian cancer. The tumor is mostly unilateral, large, cystic or solid on the cross section, with papillary growth, and the cystic fluid is mostly bloody.

Uterine tumors are mainly caused by hyperplasia of uterine smooth muscle. In the early stages of the disease, it does not have much impact on the body, and the patient does not show any symptoms, so the disease cannot be discovered in time. For patients with this disease, it is still necessary to pay attention to understanding the condition so that better treatment can be achieved. So, what is ovarian endometrioid tumor?
The tissue structure of ovarian endometrioid tumors in women is very similar to endometrial cancer. The International Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics officially named it in 1964, and the International Ovarian Tumor Histological Classification was officially divided into benign, borderline and malignant in 1973. The tissue structure of ovarian endometrioid tumors has characteristics similar to endometrial epithelium and/or stroma, and can come from ectopic endometrium and ovarian surface epithelium.
In the early stages of the disease, uterine tumors do not cause much impact on the body, and the patient will not show any symptoms, so the disease cannot be discovered in time. However, as the disease progresses, the patient's symptoms will gradually worsen, and the impact on the body will become greater and greater, so at this time we should treat it in time to avoid more serious consequences.
Uterine tumor symptoms
Uterine bleeding
If the patient has a uterine tumor, it is very likely to cause rupture of the uterine mucosa, which will lead to abnormal uterine bleeding. Moreover, this situation can easily cause an increase in the patient's menstrual volume, and sometimes even prolong the patient's menstrual cycle, which will cause the patient to have symptoms of menstrual disorders, thus having a great impact on their daily life.
Lower abdominal pain
If the patient's condition is not very serious, then this disease will not cause pain. However, if the patient's condition is serious and the tumor is large, then it is very likely to cause the patient to feel heavy and bloated, which will cause back pain and may cause pedicle torsion, thus seriously endangering health.
Increased vaginal discharge
Uterine tumors can cause the uterine cavity to enlarge, and this can also cause congestion in the female pelvic cavity, which can increase vaginal discharge. In addition, the patient may also have a mass in the abdomen. If the tumor is too large, it may compress the bladder, which can cause the patient to have symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency.
