How to treat advanced lymphoma? Doctors treat it this way

Lymphoma is a very serious malignant disease. Because lymph nodes are all over the body, once cancer appears, it spreads quickly and causes great harm. In the early stage of lymphoma, patients themselves will not find anything unusual. Once discovered, it is already in the middle and late stages. This cancer often manifests as swollen lymph nodes, enlarged liver and spleen, and all tissues and organs of the body can be affected. It is also accompanied by fever, weight loss, itching and other symptoms. So how to treat lymphoma in the late stage?

1. Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is the use of one or more chemical drugs that can inhibit or kill human lymphoma cells. They enter the human body through direct oral administration, intravenous injection, etc. to kill lymphoma cells. Each time chemotherapy is performed, the swollen malignant lymph nodes will shrink significantly, and the patient will relieve the painful symptoms.

During chemotherapy, the doctor will select the most suitable treatment plan from scientific chemotherapy plans based on the patient's individual tolerance. Chemotherapy can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hair loss, liver damage, and decreased white blood cells, but in order to continue life, patients must adjust their mentality and actively cooperate with treatment.

2. Radiotherapy

Radiation therapy is carried out in the radiotherapy department of the hospital. The patient is first accompanied by medical staff to the positioning room and positioned under the simulator. After positioning, the radiotherapy site is marked on the skin or on the fixed film with a marking line. Then the medical staff will take the patient to the radiotherapy room and let the patient position himself to align the radiation part for treatment.

During radiotherapy, patients must drink plenty of boiled water to increase urine output, eliminate toxins, and reduce systemic reactions. Radiotherapy can directly kill the malignant cells of lymphoma and shrink the tumor. It can also shrink enlarged lymph nodes and inhibit the metastasis of cancer cells.

Since both chemotherapy and radiotherapy have side effects, we recommend that you use biological immunotherapy for tumors during treatment to improve the body's immunity. During treatment, patients should have a strong sense of survival and not give up on themselves. Family and friends should also provide guidance and take good care of them. No matter what disease it is, control and prevention are very important.
