What are the factors that lead to rectal cancer? What are the signs of rectal cancer?

There are many factors that cause people to develop rectal cancer, which can be summarized into the following four:

1. Environmental factors: The incidence of colorectal cancer in economically backward countries is generally lower than that in developed countries. However, the incidence of colorectal cancer in the upper class is higher than that in the lower class, because the upper class's eating habits tend to be high in fat and low in fiber, which is the main factor in the development of colorectal cancer.

2. Dietary factors: A high-fat diet, especially animal fat, has been shown to increase the incidence of colorectal cancer.

Vegetables and fruits are rich in various anti-cancer ingredients, such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, carotene and natural antioxidants, which are very effective in preventing cancer. If you do not take enough, you are more likely to get colorectal cancer.

The more beer you drink, the higher the risk of rectal cancer. Calcium can combine with bile acid and fatty acids in the intestines to become inabsorbable calcium salts, thereby reducing the chance of cancer. If calcium intake is insufficient, you are prone to rectal cancer.

The investigation found that the incidence of rectal cancer in people with low selenium concentration in the blood is five times that of people with high selenium concentration in the blood. The selenium content in the blood and hair of rectal cancer patients is also lower than that of normal people.

Statistics show that drinking chlorinated tap water may increase the incidence of colorectal cancer, because chlorine in water interferes with the absorption of selenium.

3. Genetic and hereditary factors: The chances of rectal cancer and adenoma in the immediate family of a rectal cancer patient are several times higher than that of a normal person.

4. Other cancer factors: People who have suffered from thyroid cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer or endometrial cancer will also have a higher chance of developing rectal cancer, which is related to endocrine hormones.
