The difference between the early symptoms of pharyngitis and laryngeal cancer

The occurrence of laryngeal cancer is related to pharyngitis to a certain extent. In fact, the difference between pharyngitis and laryngeal cancer is very obvious. So, what are the early symptoms of laryngeal cancer? What is the difference between laryngeal cancer and pharyngitis? Let's introduce them one by one.

Chronic pharyngitis is a common disease in modern society. According to statistics, about 9 out of 100 people suffer from chronic pharyngitis. Many patients with chronic pharyngitis suffer from the disease repeatedly, but they are not interested in treatment. However, some people believe that chronic pharyngitis, if ignored, may lead to malignant changes in the throat.

So there is a question we must pay great attention to, can chronic pharyngitis lead to laryngeal cancer? According to many pharyngology experts, since the condition of chronic pharyngitis can be good or bad, or even recur, some people worry that chronic pharyngitis will worsen and even turn into laryngeal cancer. In fact, don't worry too much. So far, there has been no report of chronic pharyngitis turning into laryngeal tumors. Chronic pharyngitis is usually harmless to health, and the main purpose of treatment is to relieve symptoms and relieve the patient's physical and mental suffering.

Everyone is very concerned about the early symptoms of laryngeal cancer. If it can be detected and treated early, the treatment effect can be better:

1. Persistent hoarseness: Hoarseness is the earliest and most common sign of pharyngeal cancer.

2. Pain in the inner ear: When pharyngeal cancer develops to a certain extent and produces ulcers and severe inflammation in the throat, it can cause reflex pain in the nerves.

3. A foreign body sensation in the throat or pain when swallowing: These symptoms are early symptoms of supraglottic pharyngeal cancer, but tumors that originate from the vocal cords will also cause a foreign body sensation in the throat or pain when swallowing once they develop to the middle or late stages.

4. Blood in sputum: Since tumors carry a large number of abnormal new blood vessels, patients often find blood in their mucus or sputum after coughing.

5. Difficulty breathing: When the tumor deteriorates severely and increases in size at the primary site, it will directly block the trachea and affect breathing or make it difficult for tracheal secretions to be discharged, resulting in difficulty breathing.

The symptoms of pharyngeal cancer and pharyngitis are different. The main symptoms of acute pharyngitis are rapid onset, dryness and burning in the throat at the beginning; followed by pain, and the pain in the throat is often more obvious when swallowing saliva than when eating; it may be accompanied by fever, headache, loss of appetite and soreness in the limbs; it may invade the throat and be accompanied by hoarseness and cough. The main symptoms of chronic pharyngitis are discomfort in the throat, dryness, itching, swelling, excessive secretions and burning pain, easy to dry nausea, foreign body sensation, inability to cough up and swallow. The above symptoms will be aggravated especially when talking a little more, eating irritating food, fatigue or weather changes.

Throat cancer symptoms:

① Painful swallowing that does not heal after long-term treatment.

② Bloody sputum: When the surface ulcer of laryngeal cancer bleeds, there will be blood in the sputum.

③ Difficulty in swallowing: The pharyngeal tumor continues to grow and blocks the passage of food.

④ Difficulty breathing is caused by airway obstruction when the laryngeal tumor is too large.

⑤ Cervical lymph node enlargement occurs when lymph node metastasis occurs.
