What causes fibroids?

Fibroids are a common disease that women are most worried about. When this disease occurs, it will seriously affect their health. Usually, everyone needs to pay attention to their clothing to avoid causing more harm, and pay attention to reasonable examinations. Usually, everyone needs to pay attention to rest more and understand the cause of the disease. Then, the following are the causes of fibroids.

Fibroids are a relatively common benign tumor of well-differentiated fibrous connective tissue. They are more common in young people, solitary, mostly millimeters to several centimeters, and painless. They are often found accidentally, are hard, have clear boundaries, are movable, and grow slowly. They can occur in subcutaneous tissues of all parts of the body. For example, tumors that grow in the breasts of young women and are mainly glandular are called fibroadenomas, and tumors that grow in muscles with muscle tissue are called fibromyomas. When they appear multiple times, they are called tumor-like lesions, which are called fibromatosis.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the occurrence of such diseases is related to spleen and lung dysfunction. In the metabolism of water, the lung qi fails to spread and descend, the spleen qi fails to transport and transform, the phlegm and dampness evil accumulate in the meridians, the meridian qi stagnates, the Ying and Wei are out of harmony, the phlegm and dampness accumulate for a long time and form nuclei, which appear on the skin surface and cause subcutaneous tumors.

Western medicine believes that the cause of fibroids is still unclear, and may be related to trauma, hormones and genetic factors. Fibromatosis is a fibrous tissue tumor that originates from muscles, aponeurosis, and fascia and is rich in collagen. The pathological formation is benign or low-grade malignant. However, the tumor has no capsule, grows in an invasive manner, and has obvious malignant biological behavior, that is, stubborn and repeated recurrence, but rarely distant metastasis. The recurrence rate is 25% to 57%. The recurrence time is mostly 1 month to 1 year after surgery, and can even reach more than 10 years, so this type of tumor is also called invasive fibromatosis. Multiple recurrences can cause the lesions to involve a wider range of areas, and uncontrollable growth will occur, invading important organs and endangering life.
