Fibroids are not a serious disease. These diseases are relatively common and can be completely treated, so patients should not worry too much. An optimistic and positive treatment attitude is very important for the effectiveness of treatment. Next, let’s take a look at the diagnostic criteria for fibroids. 1. Symptoms: Small flesh-colored to dark brown pinhead-sized and larger sessile and pedunculated papilloma, often occur on the neck, often associated with small seborrheic keratosis. Also common in the armpits, eyelids, and less common in the trunk and groin. Some pedunculated soft fibromas are teardrop-shaped and feel like small sacs. Occasionally, they may become inflamed, tender, or even necrotic due to distortion of the pedicle. The number of cases often increases with weight gain or during pregnancy. The incidence of this disease seems to be higher in patients with colon polyps. The disease, which was previously reported as perianal soft warts or skin folds, is now called infantile perianal pyramidal protrusions. This disease occurs in young children, usually women, and the lesions occur from the anterior midline to the anus. It can subside over time and generally does not require treatment. 2. Type performance: 1) Filiform soft fibromas are multiple and commonly found on the sides of the neck. The lesions are multiple filiform protrusions that are soft in texture, about 2 mm wide and 5 mm long. 2) Pedicle-type soft fibroma is often found on the neck, face or lower trunk. The lesion is soft, smooth, about 1 cm in diameter, and usually has a pedicle. If the pedicle is twisted or infarcted, it can cause pain and discomfort. 3) Papular fibroma: Multiple small papules, 1 to 2 mm in diameter, with grooves on the surface. They are more common on the neck and armpits. The skin color of the three types of lesions is normal or slightly darker. 3. Diagnostic criteria for fibroids The diagnosis can be made based on clinical manifestations, characteristics of skin lesions, and histopathological features. Histopathology: It is characterized by a connective tissue pedicle composed of loose connective tissue surrounded by a hyperproliferative epidermis. Pocket-like papilloma usually has a flattened epidermis. Although this disease is not a serious illness and will not have a major impact on the patient's life and work, it cannot be ignored to avoid the occurrence of other complications, which will harm the patient's health. Therefore, it is necessary to discover and treat it in time. |
