Are fibroids contagious?

Is fibroid contagious? Infectious diseases are caused by various pathogens and can be transmitted between people, animals, or humans. Many people are afraid that fibroids are contagious. So today we will take a look at whether fibroids are contagious:

Fibroids are not contagious diseases, so don't worry about infecting others or being infected. If you are sure you have fibroids, you need to choose a treatment method based on the size and location of the tumor.

1. Juvenile fibromatosis occurs in children and young people.

2. Cervical fibromatosis refers to a type of fibromatosis that manifests at birth or shortly after birth and involves the lower 1/3 of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, sometimes bilaterally. Cervical fibromatosis is often accompanied by various congenital abnormalities.

3. Infant and young child fibromatosis is a type of fibromatosis that usually occurs only in childhood. It typically occurs on the outer side of the finger (toe) tip, but can also occur in other parts of the body, such as the mouth and breast. This disease is often multiple and usually occurs at birth or within 2 years of age.

4. Infantile myofibromatosis is a solitary or multiple nodular lesion that occurs in the skin, soft tissue, or bone. It can be confined to the above-mentioned sites or accompanied by involvement of internal organs. It is known to have a familial incidence, and evidence of autosomal dominant inheritance has been found.

5. Lipofibromatosis is a subtype of infantile fibromatosis, and local recurrence is common.

6. Multiple hyaline fibromatosis is a morphologically specific, familial multiple fibromatosis affecting children. It has no symptoms at birth and may be caused by congenital metabolic abnormalities.

7. Other cases include penile fibromatosis, palmar fibromatosis, plantar fibromatosis, scar fibromatosis and post-irradiation fibromatosis. Fibromatosis associated with multiple colon polyposis and occasionally multiple osteomas is called Gardner syndrome.
