Lymphatic scraping technique

Lymphatic scraping technique

As we all know, lymph is an important detoxification organ of the human body. If the lymph is not detoxified in time, it is easy to cause lymph blockage. Usually, for better lymphatic detoxification, scraping is used. The toxins in the lymph can be quickly discharged through scraping, so as to achieve the effect of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, expelling evil spirits and detoxifying. So, how to perform lymphatic scraping?

1. Scraping lymphatic detoxification method

1. Head: The head is covered with hair, so you need to shave the hair with the facial method. No need to apply scraping lubricant. To enhance the scraping effect, you can use the thin edge or corner of the scraper to scrape, scrape each part about 30 times, until the scalp feels warm. Temples: Use the corner of the scraper to scrape the temples from front to back or from top to bottom. Both sides of the head: Place the scraper vertically from the Touwei point to the lower temples, and scrape along the hairline above the ear to the back hairline. Top of the head: Use the Baihui point as the boundary on the top of the head, and scrape from left to right towards the hairline on the forehead or from the hairline on the forehead to the Baihui point. Back of the head: scrape the back of the head from the Baihui point downwards to the hairline at the back of the neck, from left to right. The Fengchi point can be scraped with the corner of a scraper. The head can also be scraped radially around the Baihui point. Holographic acupoint area: scrape the forehead from front to back or from back to front. Scrape the top pillow band and the side bands under the pillow from top to bottom. Scrape the anterior cervical oblique band, the posterior temporal oblique band and the posterior parietal oblique band from top to bottom. The treatment of the middle forehead band and the side forehead band is done by scraping up and down, and for health care, scraping in the up and down or left and right directions is possible. The holographic acupoint area is scraped with the sharp scraping method.

2. Face: Scrape the face from inside to outside along the direction of the muscles. Bruising on the face affects its appearance, so the technique must be gentle and avoid using heavy force to scrape large areas. Treatment of eye, oral, ear, and nose diseases requires the consent of the person concerned before scraping out the sha. The force, direction, angle and frequency of scraping are based on the convenience of scraping and the local tolerance of the patient.

3. Back: scrape the back from top to bottom. Generally, the Du channel on the midline of the back is scraped first, followed by the bladder meridian and Jiaji points on both sides. The shoulders should be scraped from the neck to the acromion on both sides. When using holographic scraping therapy, first apply local massage to the sensitive and tender points near the Du meridian in the acupoint area and the bladder meridian on both sides, and then scrape the meridians in the acupoint area from top to bottom.

4. Chest: Use the corner of the scraper to scrape from top to bottom along the midline of the chest from Tiantu point to Tanzhong point of the Ren meridian. Use the Ren Mai meridian on the front midline of the body to scrape the chest to the left and right (first left then right) from the inside to the outside along the ribs, paying attention to the nipple area. The Zhongfu point should be scraped from top to bottom with the corner of a scraper.

5. Waist: Scrape the abdomen from top to bottom. You can use the entire edge or one-third of the edge of the scraper to scrape from left to right. If there is prolapse of internal organs, scrape from bottom to top.

6. Limbs: Scrape the limbs from proximal to distal. For patients with varicose veins and edema of the lower limbs, scrape from the distal end to the proximal end of the limb, and reduce the force on the protruding parts of the joints and bones.

2. What are the tools for scraping?

Ancient coins are the most commonly used tools in Gua Sha therapy. At present, it has developed into professional tools: scraping board and Fuyang cupping.

1. Ramie, hemp thread, cotton yarn balls

2. Copper coins and silver rounds

3. Porcelain bowl, porcelain spoon, wooden comb back

4. Small clam shells

5. Sandalwood, agarwood scrapers, small buffalo horn scrapers, etc. In addition, there are auxiliary materials such as water, oil, and emollients.

There are more than a dozen scraping techniques, the most commonly used of which are:

●Hold the scraper with your hand, with the thick side of the scraper against your palm for treatment, and with the thin side of the scraper against your palm for health care. The scraping direction is from the neck to the back, abdomen, upper limbs and then to the lower limbs, scrape from top to bottom, and scrape the chest from inside to outside. The scraper and scraping direction are generally kept at 45 degrees to 90 degrees for scraping. The scraping board must be disinfected. The scraping time is generally 3-5 minutes for each part, and the longest time should not exceed 20 minutes. For some patients who have no sha or little sha, you cannot force them to have sha. The principle is to make the patients feel comfortable. Generally, you should wait 3 to 5 days after the first scraping and then do the second scraping after the sha subsides. One to two days after the appearance of sha, the skin may feel mildly painful and itchy. These reactions are normal.

●Fuyang Cup, a national patented product that integrates warm scraping, warm moxibustion, magnetic therapy and infrared rays, is a new generation of scraping medical equipment. According to experts, traditional scraping is accompanied by pain. "Fuyang Cup", a new meridian warming and unblocking medical equipment that combines traditional medicine and modern technology, has gradually been recognized and accepted by the society for its new concept of "painless scraping, supporting Yang and maintaining health", and is widely praised by people for its convenience, safety and reliability.

The methods of scraping recorded in "Shazhang Yuheng" include:

Scraping Therapy - For sha symptoms on the spine, cervical spine, chest, ribs, back, shoulders and arms, use a copper coin dipped in sesame oil to scrape them, or use a scraper with sesame oil to scrape the tongue and feet. For the sha on the head, forehead and legs, scrape it with cotton yarn or hemp thread dipped in sesame oil. Rub the sha in the soft flesh of the abdomen with salt by hand.

Quenching Sha Method - When small bleeding spots or small congestion spots appear on the forehead and chest, use a paper wick or a large lamp wick to dip in a small amount of fragrant oil and light it. Then use the flame to directly quench the sha spots. The flame will go out after a loud bang, and then light it to quench other sha spots.
