What kind of disease is endometrial cancer? The occurrence of cancer often catches us off guard and is difficult to prevent. Endometrial cancer is a type of gynecological tumor. The harm it brings to patients is immeasurable. Many people in life lack understanding of the disease and therefore miss the best time for treatment. The following is a detailed introduction to what kind of disease endometrial cancer is. Endometrial cancer usually originates from the bottom of the uterus and near the uterine horns, and is more common in the posterior wall than the anterior wall. The growth pattern can be focal or diffuse. The focal type is mostly a single nodule, plaque, polyp or exogenous nipple protruding into the uterine cavity, with erosion or ulceration on the surface, and a grayish-white, hard tumor underneath, which can invade the underlying muscle layer shallowly or deeply. Early lesions can disappear with curettage. For the removed uterine specimen, attention should be paid to finding lesions and taking samples at the uterine cornu. In advanced cases, the tumor can penetrate the serosa or extend downward to the cervical canal. The tumor can also manifest as diffuse thickening of the endometrium without obvious tumor nodules. The tumor tissue is gray, brittle, and lacks luster, often accompanied by bleeding, necrosis, and ulceration. The cause of endometrial cancer is still unclear. It is generally believed that endometrial cancer can be divided into estrogen-dependent (type I) and estrogen-independent (type II) according to its pathogenesis and biological behavior characteristics. The vast majority of estrogen-dependent endometrial cancers are endometrioid carcinomas, and a small number are mucinous adenocarcinomas; estrogen-independent endometrial cancers include serous carcinomas, clear cell carcinomas, etc. For postmenopausal bleeding and menopausal menstrual disorders, the possibility of endometrial cancer should be excluded. For young women whose menstrual disorders are not effectively treated, B-ultrasound examination and endometrial examination should be done in time. Change lifestyle habits, control diet, increase exercise, and reduce the incidence of endometrial cancer by controlling the occurrence of high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, etc. |
