What are the common types of benign ovarian tumors

Ovarian tumors are a common type of gynecological tumors. Tumors can be benign or malignant. Ovarian tumors can be divided into six types based on their tissues. Here are some common types of ovarian tumors.

1. Sex cord stromal tumors. This type of tumor accounts for about 6% of ovarian tumors. Sex cord stromal tumors are relatively complex. Various cells can form corresponding tumors independently. Two types of cells, ovarian or testicular, can appear in the same tumor. There are even cases where four types of cells appear in the same tumor.

6. The most common ovarian tumors in clinical practice are epithelial tumors and germ cell tumors, among which the most common are viscous and serous tumors in epithelial cell tumors and choriocarcinoma in germ cell tumors.
