What harm does ovarian tumor do to the body

The incidence of ovarian tumors is relatively low, but compared with other gynecological cancers, the risk factor is the highest. The ovaries are important reproductive organs for women, which can secrete estrogen and reflect the physiological characteristics of women. Their health directly affects women's health and beauty. So what harm does ovarian tumors do to the body?

Experts say that due to the complex etiology and atypical symptoms of ovarian tumors, ovarian tumors are difficult to detect early. Early detection of ovarian tumors can only be determined through family history (ovarian tumors, breast cancer), pelvic ultrasound, and CA125 (a specific marker for ovarian tumors). The clinical manifestations of ovarian tumors are abdominal distension, abdominal enlargement, abdominal mass, oliguria, fatigue and other symptoms in middle-aged women.

In terms of treatment, the purpose of surgery is to reduce the tumor, remove the uterus, ovarian fallopian tubes, omentum, lymph nodes, intestines and various metastatic tumors; the purpose of chemotherapy is to kill the residual tumor. The 5-year survival rate of stage I ovarian tumors is 90%. If it can be detected early, the prospects for cure of ovarian tumors are still relatively optimistic. However, if the lesions are not detected in time and develop to stage III-IV, the 5-year survival rate drops sharply to 25-30%.

Experts say that vitamin C and E can help you resist the invasion of ovarian tumors, however, it is not enough to simply rely on getting them from food, and you also need to take a certain amount of vitamin C and vitamin E tablets or preparations. Studies have shown that if you take 90 mg of vitamin C and 30 mg of vitamin E every day, the risk of ovarian tumors will be reduced by half.

Ovarian tumor is a common tumor that endangers women's health in recent years. It occurs in the female uterus and causes great damage to the patient's physical and mental health, so patients must actively seek treatment.
