At what age does uterine cancer develop?

What is the age at which uterine cancer develops? In the past, the high-risk population for uterine cancer was concentrated in the 40-60 age group, but in recent years, the incidence population has been getting younger, and the average age of onset has dropped sharply from 52 years old 10 years ago to 35 years old now. On average, 2-3 cervical cancer patients are encountered clinically every day, and the youngest is only 18 years old.

The average age of uterine cancer patients is 51 years old, but it mainly occurs in two age groups: 30-39 years old and 60-69 years old. Currently, the incidence of uterine cancer is trending towards younger people. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the main risk factor for cervical cancer, but uterine cancer is a slow development process. It usually takes 6 to 8 years from normal cervical inflammation to precancerous lesions and finally to uterine cancer. Some low-grade lesions will reverse or disappear naturally.

Experts believe that the younger age of uterine cancer patients is related to early marriage, early sexual life and chaotic sexual life. Therefore, early marriage, early childbearing and sex workers should pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene and use condoms to avoid HPV (human papillomavirus) infection; female friends should have regular gynecological examinations every year. If cancer or precancerous lesions are found, they should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
