Is there any relationship between heavy menstrual flow and uterine cancer?

Generally speaking, those that grow into the uterine cavity are called submucosal fibroids, and those that grow in the muscle wall are called intermural fibroids. Both types of fibroids can cause increased menstrual volume, prolonged menstruation, and continuous bleeding. Larger fibroids often compress surrounding organs.
