What are the symptoms and diagnosis of pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic cancer is a common pancreatic tumor. It is a highly malignant digestive tract tumor that is difficult to diagnose and treat. The early diagnosis rate of pancreatic cancer is not high. Its clinical characteristics are a short course of disease, rapid progression and rapid deterioration. The most common symptoms are upper abdominal distension and pain. The surgical mortality rate is high, while the cure rate is very low. Therefore, if there are obvious symptoms, it is necessary to make a diagnosis as soon as possible. Let's learn about the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer symptoms.

Based on the investigation of the first symptoms of pancreatic patients, we believe that people over 40 years old with unprovoked abdominal pain, fullness, loss of appetite, fatigue, weight loss, diarrhea, back pain, recurrent pancreatitis or sudden diabetes without family hereditary disease should be considered as a high-risk group for pancreatic cancer. Further laboratory tests should be performed, such as blood (urine) amylase, elastase I and phospholipase A2. Suspected patients are tested for pancreatic cancer tumor markers, among which CA19-9.Span-1 and others have a higher positive rate. However, the positive rate of tumor markers for small pancreatic cancer is not high, and they have the disadvantages of low specificity and high false positive rate. At present, it is advocated to use multiple markers for combined detection to improve their positive rate and reliability of diagnosis.
In recent years, the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer has been significantly advanced due to the widespread clinical application of imaging examination methods such as B-ultrasound, CT, ERCP, PTC, MRI and EUS, as well as the increasing awareness of the high-risk population for pancreatic cancer. Fortunately, some early or small pancreatic cancers have been discovered.
