What causes gastric perforation? It turns out it is related to these two reasons

As we all know, gastric perforation is a disease that we often encounter in daily life. It is very harmful to human health. However, most people do not know what causes gastric perforation. In fact, there are two factors that can cause this disease. Let us take a closer look at it!

1. Peptic ulcer. Peptic ulcer is one of the most common causes of gastric perforation.

Perforation occurs when the ulcer continues to deepen, penetrates the muscle layer, the serosa, and finally the stomach or duodenal wall. Several different consequences can occur after a piercing. If the ulcer base has adhered to adjacent organs such as the pancreas and liver before perforation, forming a penetrating ulcer, this is a chronic perforation. In a few cases, the ulcer base is adhered to the transverse colon, forming a gastrocolic fistula after perforation. The above two situations mostly occur in the stomach, duodenal posterior wall ulcer perforation. If the ulcer quickly adheres to the greater omentum or nearby organs after perforation, abscesses may form around the perforation.

2. People who overeat and have irregular diets, especially those who overeat, are most likely to suffer from gastric perforation, because overeating can cause an increase in gastric acid and pepsin in the human body, these two substances are most likely to induce gastric perforation. Try to chew your food slowly when eating, and don't eat too fast, otherwise it will cause stomach bloating. You should not be too hungry at ordinary times and avoid eating highly irritating foods, such as cold or spicy foods. Patients should develop good living habits, exercise moderately and avoid excessive fatigue.

In fact, the stomach is very sensitive. The stomach will provide signals about what kind of food we eat and how full we are. If it reminds you that it can’t eat any more, it’s best not to force yourself. Nutritional gain does not depend on the amount of food, but on how much can be absorbed. Therefore, everyone should never overeat and should not increase the burden on the stomach, which can reduce the chance of gastric perforation.

After understanding the causes of gastric perforation, we must pay more attention to it in our lives. Finally, the editor would like to remind everyone that if you feel unwell, you must go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible to avoid delaying treatment.
