Surgery is one of the main methods for treating early-stage cancer patients. Through surgical resection of cancer lesions, the disease can be quickly controlled and clinical cure can be achieved. With the development and progress of medical technology, it is still impossible to effectively solve the problem of recurrence and spread of residual cancer cells after surgery. In order to effectively prevent and reduce the harm of postoperative expansion to patients and to be able to detect and treat in time, we need to understand what symptoms are most likely to occur after laryngeal cancer surgery? Clinically, if cancer cells reappear after surgery and spread and metastasize, they will form new complications in other tissues and organs of the body, causing great pain to the patient physically and mentally, and endangering the patient's life. Therefore, it is very important to understand its symptoms: Symptom 1: Inner ear pain: It can cause reflex pain in the nerves. Early vocal cord tumors generally do not cause reflex pain. Reflex pain mainly occurs in patients with supraglottic tumors in the middle and late stages. When laryngeal cancer develops to a certain level and ulcers and severe inflammation occur in the throat. Symptom 2: Cervical lymph node metastasis: In late stage, it may metastasize to the contralateral side. It may metastasize to the deep middle cervical lymph nodes on the same side. Symptom 3: Laryngeal cancer symptoms in the late stage also include laryngoscopy: one side of the vocal cord is congested, the early vocal cord is thickened, the surface is rough and uneven, and gradually granular protrusions appear on the surface of the vocal cord, and then papillary or cauliflower-like tumors appear. After a while, the movement of the vocal cord is restricted or fixed. In the late stage, it often becomes ulcers and develops to the upper and lower parts of the larynx to invade the adjacent tissues of the larynx, and there is cervical lymph node metastasis. Symptom 4: Coughing and blood in sputum: Since the tumor carries a large number of abnormal new blood vessels, it occurs after the cancer ruptures. Patients often find blood in their mucus or sputum after coughing. This symptom is mainly seen in patients with supraglottic and subglottic tumors and patients with mid-to-late stage vocal cord tumors. Early vocal cord tumors generally do not bleed. Symptom 5: Breathing difficulties: When the tumor deteriorates severely and increases in size at the primary site, it is a symptom of the later stage. It will directly block the trachea and affect breathing or make the tracheal secretions difficult to discharge, thus leading to breathing difficulties. |
