The harm of bone cancer to patients

The harm of bone cancer to patients

For patients with bone cancer, active treatment is the most critical, but many people tend to ignore the harmfulness of the disease and miss the best time for treatment. Bone cancer not only affects the patient's normal life, but also brings huge financial pressure to the patient's family, making many people miserable.

1. First of all, after the disease, the patient's bone health will be seriously damaged, causing the patient to be unable to carry out normal daily activities. The early symptoms of bone cancer can be divided into benign and malignant. Benign bone cancer is relatively common, while malignant bone cancer is less common. Bone tumors can be divided into primary benign or malignant bone tumors that originate from the bone itself, or metastatic tumors that originate from a certain part of the body (such as from the breast or prostate) and then metastasize to the bone. Most childhood malignant bone cancers are primary, while most adult malignant bone cancers are metastatic. This will cause patients to experience symptoms of bone pain and fractures, seriously interfering with the patient's life and work. This is the common harm of bone cancer.

2. After the onset of the disease, the patient will have difficulty sleeping and eating due to the appearance of bone pain, the patient's appetite will continue to decline, the body will become weak, and even fever, vomiting and other symptoms will occur, which are also manifestations of the harm of bone cancer. Everyone should know that bone pain is a common symptom of bone cancer. Masses and some malignant bone tumors can also cause osteolytic destruction, making the bones fragile, and causing fractures (pathological fractures) under very little or no external force.

3. The density of bone is not uniform. There are irregular destruction, blurred surface, unclear boundaries, and lesions mostly start from the epiphyseal end. If these situations occur, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible. If the disease develops to the later stage over time and metastasis occurs, the disease will not only be difficult to control, but also may lose precious life. Bone pain is one of the first symptoms of patients, and the health damage caused is self-evident. It can occur before the tumor appears. At first, it is intermittent pain, and gradually turns into continuous severe pain, especially at night. The pain of large malignant tumors occurs earlier and more violently, and there is often a history of local trauma. The tumor near the bone end is large, with different hardness, tenderness, high local temperature, dilated veins, and sometimes pulsation can be felt, and there may be pathological fractures. The health of the whole body gradually declines to exhaustion, and most patients have lung metastasis within a year. These are all caused by the harm of bone cancer.

Although the disease is very harmful, bone cancer is not incurable. If you can actively treat it, you can effectively control the disease. In the process of treating bone cancer, patients should also pay attention to their diet and other issues, so as not to affect the treatment effect due to diet.
