How big is the relationship between pancreatic cancer and genetics

The question of how closely pancreatic cancer is related to heredity has probably attracted the attention of many patients, and the reason is well known to everyone. However, due to different and inaccurate understandings, there are many misunderstandings about the heredity of pancreatic cancer, which has caused many negative effects.

Is pancreatic cancer hereditary?
Studies have shown that most pancreatic cancer patients have no family history, but about one in ten patients is hereditary. Every time a direct relative, such as a parent or sibling, develops pancreatic cancer, for families with more than two family members who develop pancreatic cancer, if other family members quit smoking, the risk of pancreatic cancer can be greatly reduced.
Through the analysis of whether pancreatic cancer is hereditary, we found that pancreatic cancer has a lot to do with lifestyle and is also a kind of "lifestyle cancer". The so-called "lifestyle cancer" refers to cancer caused by unhealthy human food, clothing, housing and transportation: smoking, excessive drinking, staying up late to eat supper, breathing exhaust from cars on busy streets, and even breathing oil smoke when cooking at home, etc., all have the possibility of causing cancer. High work pressure, irregular life, and long-term social activities will damage people's health. The incidence of pancreatic cancer in people with high-fat diets and people with diabetes is significantly higher than that in other groups. Families who often eat smoked, grilled, fried and pickled foods will also increase the probability of pancreatic cancer; increased consumption of cooking oil and high-salt foods will not only cause high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases, but also easily lead to hidden dangers of pancreatic cancer.
To sum up, we know that one of the causes of pancreatic cancer is genetic factors, but this only means that pancreatic cancer has a certain genetic tendency and familial clustering, and it is not absolutely inherited.
I hope the above-mentioned knowledge will be helpful to you. Pancreatic cancer is extremely harmful to health and even life-threatening, and early detection is very helpful for treatment. Therefore, if you feel unwell, you should go to the hospital for examination in time to ensure your health.
