Esophageal bulge lesion

Esophageal bulge lesion

Judging from the X-ray films, esophageal bulge is mostly caused by some diseases, such as esophageal sarcoma, esophageal melanoma, esophageal cancer, etc. The symptoms of esophageal sarcoma and esophageal cancer are very similar, mainly manifested as difficulty in swallowing. To prevent it, you must avoid eating moldy food and its products, smoked or pickled food, smoking, drinking, or eating vegetables contaminated by pesticides.

1. Types of esophageal bulge lesions

1. Esophageal sarcoma: It is most commonly derived from smooth muscle, fibrous tissue, and striated muscle tissue. The tumor is often large and the clinical symptoms are similar to those of esophageal cancer. Very rare. It is more common in the middle and lower esophagus. The main symptom is dysphagia. The tumor is often pedunculated polyp-like or nodular, growing from one side of the esophagus into the cavity, and X-rays show a large filling defect. The surface is uneven, and the mucosa may have a few shallow erosion areas. The expansion of the lumen can widen the mediastinum. The upper and lower ends of the tumor form acute angles with the normal esophagus. Barium flowing down between the tumor and the esophageal wall can show the isolated edge of the tumor surface. Obstruction is often not obvious.

2. Esophageal melanoma: rare. The tumor is polyp-like, lobed or nodular, and may have ulcers on the surface. X-rays show that the tumor bulges into the esophageal wall to form a large filling defect. The lumen at the lesion site is dilated, similar to esophageal cancer. The lesions may be multiple, presenting as multiple nodular filling defects, and obstruction is not obvious.

3. Esophageal cancer (shi dao ai), also known as esophageal cancer (shi guan ai), is a malignant tumor that occurs in the esophageal epithelial tissue, accounting for 2% of all malignant tumors. About 220,000 people die from esophageal cancer every year worldwide. my country is a high-incidence area for esophageal cancer, and the number of deaths due to esophageal cancer ranks second only to gastric cancer. Most people are over 40 years old, and there are more males than females. However, in recent years, there has been an increasing trend in the number of people under 40 years old. The occurrence of esophageal cancer is related to chronic stimulation by nitrosamines, inflammation and trauma, genetic factors, and the content of trace elements in drinking water, food and vegetables.

2. Prevention of test tube lesions

1. Do not eat moldy food and its products. Peanuts, soybeans, rice, flour, vegetable oils, etc. can produce aflatoxin when they become moldy, which is a strong carcinogen (especially liver cancer).

2. Do not eat smoked or pickled foods, such as bacon, bacon, salted fish, pickled sauerkraut, pickled vegetables, etc. These foods contain a chemical that may cause stomach cancer and esophageal cancer.

3. Don’t smoke. Substances such as tar in cigarettes are carcinogenic factors that cause lung cancer and pancreatic cancer. Recent studies have shown that smoking is also related to cervical cancer in women.

4. Do not drink alcohol excessively, especially do not drink strong liquor. High concentrations of alcohol can irritate the epithelial cells of the mouth, esophagus and stomach and cause cancer.

5. Smoking and drinking at the same time will greatly increase the chance of cancer.

6. Avoid or limit contact with the black smoke coming out of large chimneys. The air polluted by it contains a small amount of carcinogens.

7. Do not use laundry detergent to clean dishes, tea sets or food.

8. Do not use toxic plastic products (polyvinyl chloride) to package food.

9. Do not eat vegetables, fruits and other things contaminated by pesticides.

10. Drink fresh and clean water, do not drink too hot water, and do not eat too hot, too hard, burnt or too salty food.

11. Don't overexpose yourself to the sun. Ultraviolet rays in sunlight can cause skin cancer and may reduce the body's immunity.

12. Eat more fresh vegetables, don’t eat too much, control meat intake, and control your weight, which can reduce the incidence of cancer.
