What should you pay attention to when exercising with ovarian cancer

As the number of deaths from ovarian cancer continues to rise, people are paying more and more attention to ovarian cancer. Especially for some patients who have undergone ovarian cancer surgery, if they want to speed up their recovery process, in addition to actively cooperating with treatment, some daily care is also very important. Exercise is a good way to do this.

1. Do it step by step according to the physical condition: Ovarian cancer patients will have a decline in physical fitness after surgery, so exercise is a long-term project for ovarian cancer patients. It should be done step by step and not in a hurry. Start with simple and casual exercises, and do it step by step. It is better to feel comfortable after exercise without feeling tired. It can fully move all parts of the body without making the body overly tired.

2. Control the amount of exercise according to heart rate: Ovarian cancer patients must exercise according to their heart rate. The heart rate after exercise should be controlled at 85-110 beats/min. The amount of exercise can be increased or decreased accordingly. The amount of exercise can also be measured according to one's basic heart rate. Generally, exercise is done 3 times a week, 1 hour each time.

3. Control the amount of exercise based on breathing: Ovarian cancer patients should pay attention to their physical condition when exercising. If the exercise allows them to talk to others, although it is a bit strenuous and the breathing rate is faster, as long as there is no obvious shortness of breath, the amount of exercise is generally appropriate.

In addition to the precautions introduced above, we should pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and avoid excessive fatigue because stress is an important cause of cancer. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that stress leads to physical weakness due to overwork, which in turn causes decreased immune function, endocrine disorders, metabolic disorders in the body, and the deposition of acidic substances in the body; stress can also lead to mental tension, causing qi stagnation, blood stasis, and internal toxic fire.
