What tests should be done for ovarian cancer

The ovaries are reproductive organs unique to women. They begin to release eggs during puberty, which then combine with sperm to become a fertilized egg and eventually a fetus. However, some women may develop ovarian cancer due to certain conditions. So what tests should you do at the hospital if you have ovarian cancer?

1. Patients with ovarian cancer need to undergo ascites exfoliated cytology examination. This examination method can find cancer cells, and then make a diagnosis, determine the clinical stage of cancer cells, and then choose a treatment method that is suitable for them. They can also undergo posterior fornix puncture ascites exfoliated cytology examination. This examination method is a commonly used method in clinical practice and is also a minimally invasive examination method. It requires the patient's vagina to be dilated, and then the posterior fornix of the vagina is exposed, and ascites is extracted to look for cancer cells.

2 In addition to the two examination methods, tumor marker testing can also be performed. This test is used to detect epithelial ovarian cancer. If the patient's CA125 is higher than the normal level, and the increase or decrease in the CA125 level is consistent with the patient's condition remission or deterioration, then the patient's ovarian cancer can be detected. B-ultrasound examination can also be performed to confirm the size, shape, cysticity, location of the patient's ovarian cancer tumor and its relationship with surrounding organs.

3 The ovaries can also be examined with color Doppler ultrasound, which can measure the blood flow changes in the patient's tumor tissue. It is best for patients to have the examination so that they can understand whether their ovarian cancer is in the early or late stages, whether there is metastasis, and whether the division is severe. Then, they can choose a treatment method to completely cure ovarian cancer and prolong life.

If the patient is diagnosed with early or late stage ovarian cancer, she should actively seek treatment. Early treatment will be much better than late stage treatment, and the hope of cure is much higher. The patient's physique will also be better and able to withstand combined treatment. Otherwise, if it is in the late stage, it will be difficult to cure.
