The harm of ovarian cancer to the body

The occurrence of ovarian cancer causes great discomfort, not only affecting the health of patients, but also causing a series of harms to their lives and work, which requires everyone to actively understand and prevent. The harms of ovarian cancer are many and serious, and understanding them can also better prevent or treat them, thereby effectively ensuring good health.

The main hazards caused by ovarian cancer are
1. Edema of the vulva and lower limbs: As the ovarian cancer grows, the pelvic veins are compressed, resulting in poor blood flow and obstruction of lymphatic return, causing edema of the vulva and lower limbs.
2. Oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea: Most ovarian cancer patients have basically no changes in menstruation. As the tumor grows, the cancer cells will destroy the normal ovarian tissue, leading to ovarian dysfunction and causing oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea.
3. Pain in waist and abdomen: If the tissues adjacent to the ovaries are infiltrated by the tumor or adhesion occurs, it is easy to cause dull pain in the waist and abdomen.
4. Gastrointestinal discomfort: If menopausal women often feel bloating and loss of appetite, and no gastrointestinal disease is found after examination by the gastroenterology department, they need to go to the gynecology department for treatment.
5. Oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea: Most ovarian cancer patients have no menstrual changes. However, if the normal ovarian tissue is destroyed by cancer cells and the patient's overall condition is poor, it may cause oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea.
6. Sex hormone disorder: The pathological causes of ovarian cancer are relatively complex. Some tumors can secrete estrogen. Excessive estrogen production can cause precocious puberty, menstrual disorders, or vaginal bleeding after menopause. If it is testicular prostate cancer, it may also produce excessive androgens, causing masculinization in women.
