Is stomach cancer contagious?

Due to the high pressure of life, many people now suffer from stomach problems, but over time, many people will think that it is nothing and no longer seek treatment. They just take some stomach medicine when it hurts. However, when a disease like stomach cancer appears in themselves, many people will worry whether they have been infected. So, is stomach cancer contagious?

First, let's introduce what is infection. The so-called infection is the spread of a disease from one person to another through some means. Infection requires three conditions: the source of infection, the route of transmission and the susceptible population. None of them can be missing.
Is advanced gastric cancer contagious?
Tumors cannot transfer oncogenes into other people's bodies through any means to cause tumors. Even if tumor cells are transplanted into other people's bodies, they are difficult to survive because of the existence of rejection reactions.
Clinical data prove that a person with gastric cancer is not a source of infection. Although cancer cells can spread or metastasize everywhere in the patient's body, they cannot be transmitted from one person to another like bacteria and viruses. Experts have conducted experiments and found that cancerous tissue removed from a cancer patient and directly implanted in another person could not survive and grow.
So, is advanced gastric cancer contagious? Experts have given a clear answer to this question: gastric cancer is not contagious, and neither are other tumors. So far, there is no evidence that any tumor is contagious. Living gastric cancer cells are generally not excreted from the body. Even if a small number of gastric cancer cells escape into the external environment or even enter another person's body, they will quickly die or be eliminated by the person's immune system. People who have close contact with gastric cancer patients or family members who care for gastric cancer patients do not need to worry about contracting gastric cancer.
