The liver in our body is very important to us, because the main function of the liver is to eliminate toxins in our body. If our liver is damaged, our detoxification function may be affected, and then we will suffer from various diseases, especially skin diseases. So, can hepatitis C be detected during the examination? Although cases of acute hepatitis with fulminant course have been reported, they are very rare. When symptoms appear in patients, only 50% to 70% of patients can detect anti-HCV in their serum. Three months after infection, the detection rate of anti-HCV in serum can reach 90%. Anti-HCV is not a protective antibody and is a marker of hepatitis C infection. 15% to 40% of people with acute hepatitis C infection can clear the infection within 6 months. During the process of clearing the infection, the HCV RNA level may be very low and cannot be detected, and only anti-HCV is positive. However, in 65% to 80% of patients, the virus persists for 6 months and is not cleared, which is called chronic HCV infection. Once chronic hepatitis C develops, HCV RNA titers begin to stabilize and spontaneous recovery is rare. Unless effective antiviral therapy is initiated, spontaneous clearance of HCV RNA rarely occurs. Clinically, patients with chronic hepatitis C are mostly anti-HCV positive (immunosuppressed patients, such as those infected with AIDS, solid organ transplant recipients, hypogammaglobulinemia or hemodialysis patients may be anti-HCV negative), and HCV RNA may be positive or negative (HCV RNA level is low after antiviral treatment). There is no hepatitis C antibody test in the routine physical examination, but there is a liver function test. If your liver function is normal, there is no problem. However, if your liver function is very abnormal and the hepatitis B surface antigen is negative, the unit will ask you to check non-general items, such as hepatitis C, which can be detected at this time. If you want to diagnose hepatitis C, you should first analyze the patient's symptoms, because the symptoms of hepatitis C patients are very mild at the beginning, but some patients still have some abnormal symptoms, such as: loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, some patients have dull pain in the right upper abdomen, that is, pain in the liver area, and some patients have jaundice symptoms, Low fever, enlarged liver and spleen, muscle and joint pain, etc., can all alert the patient and enable the patient to detect the disease in time. Hepatitis C patients will have many symptoms. After understanding the commonly used examination methods for hepatitis C, if related symptoms of hepatitis C occur in life, you should go to the hospital for examination in time to find out the cause. If the patient is diagnosed with hepatitis C, he should receive regular treatment for the disease in time so that he can recover his health as soon as possible. |
