How should lung cancer patients exercise?

How should lung cancer patients exercise? Many lung cancer patients believe that they should rest in bed as much as possible after surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy to facilitate recovery from the disease. In fact, lung cancer patients in recovery can do appropriate physical exercise. On the one hand, they can interact with more people through exercise, expand their social circle, and even understand, support and encourage each other among patients, and exchange their successful experiences in lung cancer treatment, which can have a positive impact on the patient's mood and the recovery from the disease. The successful experience gained in treatment will have a positive impact on the patient's mood; on the other hand, appropriate physical exercise can significantly improve the patient's physical fitness, increase the body's resistance, and promote recovery from the disease.

However, it should be noted that, in terms of the arrangement of exercise time for lung cancer patients, except for Qigong, which can be started at any stage of the disease, other projects such as jogging and Tai Chi need to be carried out in two stages:

1. Adaptation stage

Lung cancer patients should first choose sports according to their own interests and hobbies. At this stage, patients need to strictly control the body load and list mental training as the primary content, while supplementing it with physical exercise.

2. Consolidation stage

On the basis of the previous stage of exercise, lung cancer patients can gradually fix one or two exercise programs. This depends on the patient's interest and physical condition. There is no hard and fast rule. But it should be noted that physical exercise is a persistent process. At the same time, if the patient practices qigong and engages in other exercise programs, generally speaking, the longer the interval between the two, the better, and it is not advisable to connect the two exercises.
