Laryngeal cancer is a type of cancer that many people suffer from nowadays, so everyone should pay attention to it. Here is an introduction to the symptoms of mid-stage laryngeal cancer. What are they? Laryngeal cancer is divided into primary and secondary types. Primary laryngeal cancer refers to tumors that originate in the larynx, with squamous cell carcinoma being the most common. Secondary laryngeal cancer refers to malignant tumors from other parts of the body that metastasize to the larynx, which is relatively rare. Symptoms of mid-stage laryngeal cancer are between early-stage and late-stage symptoms and are progressive. Symptoms of mid-stage laryngeal cancer include: (1) Coughing and blood in sputum: These symptoms occur after the cancer has ruptured and are common. (ii) Difficulty breathing: This is a symptom of the later stages of the disease, indicating that the cancer has progressed to the point of blocking the throat. (III) Hoarseness: This is the earliest symptom of vocal cord cancer, which is usually persistent and gradually worsens. The early symptoms of subglottic cancer are not obvious, but hoarseness is a symptom of the later stage. (IV) Foreign body sensation and pain in the throat: This is often an early symptom of supraglottic cancer. After the cancer ruptures, throat pain may occur, sometimes radiating to the ear on the same side. This is a late symptom. (V) Cervical lymph node metastasis: It can metastasize to the middle deep cervical lymph nodes on the same side, and may metastasize to the contralateral side in the late stage. For laryngeal cancer patients, they should pay attention to the following in daily life: 1. Dietary taboos: No smoking or drinking, be cautious with spicy foods, and avoid hot foods such as dog meat and mutton when there is infection. Patients should be encouraged to eat, and their diet should be properly arranged according to their personal tolerance. When laryngeal cancer patients feel good and have an appetite, they can eat as much as possible. There is no need to impose too many restrictions, and do not force them to eat foods they do not like, so as to avoid nausea and vomiting. 2. Choose the following foods according to the symptoms: hoarseness, radish, pear, ginkgo, coix seed, plum, etc.; difficulty in swallowing, almonds, peach kernels, lily, etc.; hemoptysis, lotus root powder, day lily, etc. 3. The diet should be light, and foods with anti-infection and anti-ulcer effects should be selected, such as monk fruit, water chestnuts, honey, pig skin, mud snails, spinach, bitter melon, etc. The above is an introduction to the relevant content. I hope it will be helpful to patients and friends. |
