Bladder cancer intravesical instillation medication

There are many studies and theories on the prevention of bladder cancer, but there is still no definite basis. From an epidemiological point of view, race, geographical location, diet, occupation, working environment, age, gender, and lifestyle are all related to the occurrence of bladder cancer. So what are the methods of intravesical instillation for bladder cancer?

Immediate bladder instillation: Generally, a bladder instillation is performed within 24 hours after TE resection (during hospitalization), which is called immediate bladder instillation. Unless the patient is not suitable for surgery, this bladder instillation will be performed. Low-risk non-muscle invasive (superficial) bladder cancer only needs to complete this instillation.
Induction bladder instillation: 1 time/week. Generally 6-8 times, for medium- to high-risk non-muscle-invasive (superficial) bladder cancer postoperative instillation. Maintenance bladder instillation: 1 time/month. Generally 10-12 times, a total of 1 year with induction instillation, and there are also reports of 2 years, which is rare. Some studies also adopt 1 time/2 weeks for 3-4 consecutive weeks between induction and maintenance bladder instillation. Medium- to high-risk non-muscle-invasive (superficial) bladder cancer postoperative instillation.
