Dietary taboos for brain cancer patients

Dietary taboos for brain cancer patients

For diseases like brain tumors, the most obvious symptom in the early stages of the disease is headache. If people do not pay more attention to examination and treatment after the abnormality occurs, it is easy to induce many complications, which will pose a greater threat to the patient's health and greatly increase the difficulty of treating the disease. So what are the dietary taboos for brain cancer patients?

1. Eat more iodine-rich foods: kelp, seaweed, dried shrimp, etc. Iodine can reduce the deposition of cholesterol in the arterial wall and prevent the occurrence of arteriosclerosis.
2. Eat more foods with high protein content: eat egg white, lean meat, fish and various beans and bean products to provide the body with the amino acid it needs. Generally, drink one cup of milk and one cup of yogurt every day, because milk contains milk factor and orotic acid, which can inhibit the synthesis of cholesterol in the body and reduce blood lipid and cholesterol levels.
3. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits: Vegetables and fruits contain vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, etc. Vitamin C can lower cholesterol, enhance the density of blood vessels, and prevent bleeding. Potassium and magnesium have a protective effect on blood vessels.
4. In daily life, the diet for brain tumors should be less than 6 grams of salt per day. Salt contains a large amount of sodium ions. If the human body intakes too much sodium ions, it can increase blood volume and heart burden, and increase blood viscosity, thereby increasing blood pressure, which is not good for patients with cerebral hemorrhage.
5. Avoid foods that excite the nervous system, such as alcohol, strong tea, coffee, and strong condiments. In addition, eat less soups, such as chicken soup and broth, which are good for protecting the cardiovascular and nervous systems, but avoid eating too much or overeating.
6. Do not eat too much animal fat, such as lard, butter, cream, etc., as well as foods with high cholesterol, such as egg yolks, fish roe, animal offal, fatty meat, etc., because the saturated fatty acids contained in these foods can significantly increase the cholesterol concentration in the blood.
