What are the complications of advanced prostate cancer?

Prostate cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death in men in Europe and America. The incidence rate increases with age. Half of the men over 80 years old have cancerous lesions in their prostates, but the actual number of clinical cases is far lower than this. There are obvious regional and racial differences in the incidence of prostate cancer. So what are the complications of late-stage prostate cancer? Let's introduce them to you below.

1. Prostate cancer can cause lymphatic metastasis. Generally, the first lymph nodes invaded by prostate cancer are the obturator internal iliac chain, but the lymph nodes at the obturator foramen are generally not invaded. The internal iliac lymph nodes are often called obturator lymph nodes. They are located on the inner side of the external iliac vein and are the most important lymph nodes that should be removed along the course of the internal iliac vessels.
2. Prostate cancer can cause acute seminal vesiculitis, epididymitis, or vas deferensitis. Generally, acute inflammation of the prostate can easily spread to the seminal vesicle, thus causing acute seminal vesiculitis. At the same time, bacteria retrogradely enter the wall layer of the vas deferens and the outer sheath through the lymphatic vessels, causing epididymitis.
3. Prostate cancer can cause urinary retention. Acute prostate cancer can cause local congestion, swelling, urethral compression and other symptoms, resulting in urination difficulties or acute urinary retention.
4. Prostate cancer can cause sexual dysfunction. During the acute inflammatory period, the prostate will become congested, edematous, or small abscesses will form. However, there will be symptoms such as painful ejaculation, painful erection, decreased libido, painful intercourse, impotence, and hematospermia.
5. Prostate cancer can cause other symptoms. Severe acute prostatitis may be accompanied by referred groin pain and renal colic in severe cases.
