What are the symptoms of cervical cancer

What are the symptoms of cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is a common malignant tumor in women. It has no symptoms in the early stage, but after the disease, especially in the middle and late stages, the cure rate is very low. As a woman, you need to know more knowledge to protect yourself and understand the symptoms of cancer, which will have a significant effect on prevention and treatment.

1. Increased vaginal discharge. Clinically, about 75% of cervical cancer patients have increased vaginal discharge to varying degrees. Most of them are manifested as increased leucorrhea, which is often accompanied by changes in odor and color. Increased leucorrhea is caused by cancer stimulation. After the lesion, due to necrosis of the cancer tissue and infection, purulent, rice-like or bloody leucorrhea with a foul odor will flow out of the vagina.

2. Irregular vaginal bleeding. Especially for elderly women who have been postmenopausal for many years, the amount of bleeding is not much, and there is no abdominal pain, back pain and other symptoms, which are easily ignored. In fact, this irregular vaginal bleeding is often an early symptom of cervical cancer. Many elderly patients come to the doctor for this symptom, get early diagnosis and timely treatment. Therefore, the elderly should be highly vigilant.

3. Contact bleeding. Bleeding is the most prominent symptom of cervical cancer. About 70% of patients with cervical cancer have vaginal bleeding. It is often manifested as vaginal discharge mixed with blood after sexual intercourse, gynecological examination, or when straining to defecate. If elderly women experience bleeding after sexual intercourse, do not always think that it is caused by improper sexual intercourse and ignore the possibility of cervical cancer. If bleeding occurs every time after sexual intercourse, it should be taken seriously and medical treatment should be sought in time.

Eighty percent of cervical precancerous lesions can be cured through early detection and early treatment.

There are many treatment methods for cervical precancerous lesions, such as cervical electrocautery, electric baking, freezing, laser treatment, etc. Recently, the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences has used special light to treat cervical precancerous lesions. In the past 10 months, the efficacy of 40 patients has been more than 95%, and the cure rate is 84%. It has special effects on chronic cervicitis and cervical erosion, and the one-time cure rate is high. In addition, improving women's hygiene, taking a bath frequently, actively treating cervical diseases; washing the foreskin of the spouse's penis or performing circumcision surgery early; and promoting premarital examinations are all important tasks in preventing cervical cancer.

We remind all women to pay attention to the diagnosis and treatment of cervical lesions. Cervical lesions are the most common lesions in gynecology, among which cervical cancer is the most serious. Among female cancers, the incidence of cervical cancer is second only to breast cancer. In developed countries, the incidence of cervical cancer has declined significantly in recent years, which is largely attributed to the early diagnosis and treatment of cervical precancerous lesions. In our country, due to the imperfect screening of cervical lesions, invasive cancer is often discovered when it is already discovered, and the incidence of cervical cancer is 6 times that of developed countries. It takes a long time for precancerous lesions to develop into cervical cancer, about 10 years, so cervical cancer is a preventable disease. The key is to detect precancerous lesions early and treat them early.
